The KitchenAid Classic Plus 4.5 quart stand mixer is another highly recommended product. This is one of the smaller machines that I recommend. It is not one that you will want to use all of the time. Nor should it be used to prepare all of your mixtures.
However, for those who are making only basic concoctions and who don’t need all of the power as some of the others I have listed here, this machine is a clear winner. This impressive stand mixer features a 4.5 stainless steel bowl. The bowl is easy to use and easy to clean but there is no handle.
The stand mixer offers 275 watts of power. This is enough power to mix your basic dough, but do not try to use it with some of the thicker mixtures. This machine is capable of holding up to 7 cups of flour at one time.
Thanks to the 50 punts planetary mixing motion, this mixer is capable of handling your mixes with ease, alleviating the pain from your arm from mixing it yourself. There is a one year warranty with this stand mixer. Knowing that you re protected for one year is a nice peace of mind that you will enjoy.
Although this is a smaller stand mixer with less power than many of the other models, this one still has 10-speed settings or you to choose from. The usual attachments are included with the mixer, including the dough hook, a wire whisk, and a flat beater.
Some people don’t mind but for others, the fact that the stand mire is available only in white color is a downside. I did not mind because white goes with everything and it did not impede with my kitchen decor. In fact, it looked wonderful sitting on my countertop if I do say so myself.
I do have to let you know that this is not a stand mixer that is designed for use every day and you should not use it on a regular basis. One of the biggest disadvantages that I found comes with the durability of the machine. It had a tendency to overheat and without an auto-shutoff feature this could be costly to your appliance if you are not careful.
It is cheaper than many models on the market, but it is also with a shorter life expectancy than most of those choices.
