Customer Reviews
When researching the KitchenAid Ultra Power KSM95 Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer online we were able to find twenty-six reviews awarding this mixer four out of five stars. The reviews were mostly positive with a few that highlighted customer service issues and a few small design flaws.
Most reviewers agreed that this mixer was a great time saver in the kitchen; one reviewer listed all the functions it served in her kitchen “I make cookies, ice cream, cakes, pasta, and mashed potatoes in this machine.” The same reviewers also agreed that the machine had ample power and a sturdy build. On reviewer was in possession of a 9-year-old mixer that was still in good working order.
A majority of reviewers found this machine easy to clean and not one person complained of gunk build up on the mixer. There was however mixed reviews on whether or not the components were dishwasher safe. The components are advertised as being dishwasher safe, but several reviewers reported the components ruined when put through the dishwasher.
The tilt-back head was another popular feature of this model. Most reviewers found this helpful for removing and scraping the bowl. The locking head keeps the mixer head in place while the machine is on, or in the upright position while cleaning off the beater. This was another popular safety feature as no one complained about the mixer falling shut or flinging open on him or her.
The mot common complaint was the mixers inability to effectively mix bread dough. Several reviewers complained of it heating up and even stalling when asked to mix or knead bread dough. This however did not seem to be a huge issue for most, as they were more interested in making cookies, cakes and mashed potatoes with this mixer than bread.
There was also mixed reviews on customer service. One reviewer raved about the amazing customer service they received after having the mixer for 9 years. Another reviewer complained of rude and unhelpful customer service representatives while still under warranty.
In total this mixer received excellent reviews, with no real design flaws highlighted. The customer service issues were enough to give us pause, but where it was just one reviewer who had such a terrible experience, we have no real cause to doubt their ability to serve their customers. We feel reasonably comfortable suggesting this product to consumers, as long as you do not want to make bread with it.
